WARNING: This review contains mild spoilers for issue 5.
In the last issue, Sonic teamed up with Tangle and Princess Blaze to save a village from Dr. Eggman’s robot army. Dr. Eggman made a small appearance, teasing what schemes he may have planned.
This issue reintroduced some classic characters like Espio, Vector, and Charmy Bee. Members of the Chaotix Detective Agency. A big turn of events takes place when the Evil Dr. Eggman is found to be not so Evil after unknown events.
Sonic The Hedgehog has been action packed from the very start, but this was a good change of pace. Questions were answered, but even more arise for who is behind Dr. Eggman’s militia, and what is their endgame? The creative work of Yardley, Amash, and Herms keeps this book visually appealing throughout the entire issue. Flynn’s story has been entertaining, and his cliffhanger endings make the book childishly entertaining, as though it is a television episode.
