The first trailer for next year’s X-Men Movie, The New Mutants, is here and it’s intense to say the least! Since this film was first announced, director Josh Boone stated that the film would depart from the typical tone X-Men films have had in the past. It’s clear from this trailer that the tone they’re going for is less of a superhero adventure and more of a psychological thriller.

Five young mutants, just discovering their abilities while held in a secret facility against their will, fight to escape their past sins and save themselves.
