What is this all about?
Shirtless Bear Fighter #4 continues the adventure of one bearded wild man of the woods Shirtless Bear Fighter as he tries to come to grips with the oath he made to protect the forest against Jaxon Logger and the Fuzzy Wipes Toilet Paper Company as well as trying to avenge his darling Clementine( yes i went there) who fell at the hands of his brother Brother Bear.
The Review
Jody Leheup and Sebastian Girner have done an amazing job of continuing to give us a story that we don’t have to think about too much we just need to sit back and enjoy it. Yes it’s ridiculous, yes its comical, but that’s what makes it great. It reminds me of a Saturday morning cartoon show where you didn’t have to think about plot twists or cliffhangers you just enjoyed the story in all its crazy glory.
The art is terrific again from Nil Vendrell. Again, it has that Saturday morning cartoon feel to it that brings out a little nostalgic feeling in me. I love it when art and story marry completely together and in this series i feel that has happened ever issue.
Final Words
This series has been a joy to read at least for me. It’s not the typical comic book story but it’s not meant to be and that’s what makes it a great read.
