So obviously we all know that this is an older comic and yes there is a movie made. BUT! I had not read the comic yet and have to admit that I truly enjoyed it. The story line isn’t quite the same between the two so if made for a nice change. The three-issue horror comic miniseries written by Steve Niles, illustrated by Ben Templesmith, and published by American company IDW Publishing in 2002. All three parties co-own the property.
The series takes place in Barrow Alaska, so far north that during the winter, the sun does not rise for 30 days. In the series, vampires, being vulnerable to sunlight, take advantage of the prolonged darkness to openly kill the townspeople and feed at will. The artwork is super gritty which I love cause it really lends to the story line and although a quick read, if you haven’t already read it I would highly recommend it. Also it makes me want to see the movie again after reading this to see the subtle differences between the two.
