We are now into working our way into a deeper story with the animals and humans. You do see animals and people working and living together in some form of harmony at this point. The humans are trying to put together some form of government and the some of the animals have put together and Animilitary who just want rights and a home of their own.
During a public meeting the Animilitary shows up making demands and a human extremist shows up with a bomb. The poo hits the fan and at this point Sandor jumps in to save Jesse. With Jesses father losing his cool about the situation and fear of Sandor turning on the family he tries to take matters into his own hands.
We end with them a year later just Jesse and Sandor on their way to California to try and find the only family Jesse has left.
I cannot stress enough the emotion this comic brings up in me as I read it. I am falling in LOVE with Marguerite Bennett as a writer. She really knows how to take you through a spectrum of emotion with her writing and I can truly appreciate that ability.
